China Nuclear Insurance Pool was founded in 1999. The founding companies include China Reinsurance (Group) Corporation, The People’s Insurance Company (Group) of China Limited, China Pacific Insurance (Group) Company Limited and Ping An P&C Insurance Company. Now China Nuclear Insurance Pool has 29 member companies, including 22 property insurance companies, 6 reinsurance companies and 1 special member company.
The purpose of China Nuclear Insurance Pool is to collect underwriting capacity for nuclear insurance, strengthen cooperation and exchanges with relevant organizations at home and abroad, and provide insurance and reinsurance services for the peaceful development and utilization of nuclear energy in China.
